Yippee, I finally know what *Weltschmerz* means!

Some time ago, a follower commented "Weltschmerz" on one of my posts.
It certainly got him some attention though, at the time, I didn't care why. I wasn't familiar with the word, and since it seemed intended to be hurtful, I didn't give it a second thought.
That is, until yesterday, when that nerd Sheldon explained the word in the TV series.
He described it as a hypothetical worldview one that causes pain.
That "Weltschmerz" comment was posted beneath my "Dating App" post.
In that post, I had discussed how the hard drug known as alcohol is being normalized to the point where it seems almost every profile picture features someone holding a glass in their hand.
This particular follower hides behind a mask and, apparently, doesn't understand what "hypothetical" actually means. Furthermore, he seems incapable of gauging or recognizing pain in his fellow human beings. He processes information without truly comprehending it.
Information, mind you, that he apparently gleans from TV shows where, when delivered by a "nerd" character, it suddenly acquires the necessary air of validity.
What is happening here is neither hypothetical nor painful.
Go ahead keep watching your "bread and circuses" TV, and feel free to pat yourselves on the back for being so "educated" as you toy around with made-up words and paranoia.
After all, that word was actually coined and established solely by the Germans.
